Your heart, as long as pure and well-maintained, is capable of directing you toward what’s good for you- and this shouldn’t object with the need to think and think a lot. The wisdom of the heart has been laid emphasis upon in so many instances in Islamic tradition, which asserts the importance of its consent of anything an individual does or says. Wabisa bin Mabad narrated: “I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and he said: “You have come to ask about righteousness ?” I said:” Yes.” He said: “consult your heart. Righteousness is that about which the soul feels tranquil and the heart feels tranquil, and wrongdoing is that which wavers in the soul and moves to and from in the breast even though people again and again have given you their legal opinion [in its favor].” – A good hadith transmitted from the Musnads of the two Imams, Ahmed bin Hanbal and Al-Darimi, with a good chain of authorities. – Imam Nawawi’s 40 hadith Chapter No: 1, An-Nawawi’s 40 Hadith- Hadith no: 27 It happens that sometimes clear guidance and advice get scarce or create more confusion, at such times, and in your eager pursuit for success, you’d need to consult one trustworthy friend who’d point towards the right direction you should head for. Your heart, as long as pure and well-maintained with good wealth of faith and piety, is capable of directing you toward what’s good for you- and this shouldn’t object with the need to think and think a lot. Work on purifying your heart and maintaining its Fitra (natural instinct upon which it was originally created)- it is priceless asset you need to invest in thoroughly during your life. An-Nu’man ibn Bashir said, “I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say, ‘The halal is clear and the haram is clear. But between the two there are doubtful things about which most people have no knowledge. Whoever exercises caution with regard to what is doubtful, shows prudence in respect of his deen (religion) and his honour. Whoever gets involved in the doubtful things is like a herdsman who grazes his animals near a private preserve (hima). He is bound to enter it. Every king has a private preserve and the private preserve of Allah on His earth are the things that He has made forbidden. There is lump of flesh in the body, the nature of which is that when it is sound, the entire body is sound, and when it is corrupt, the entire body is corrupt – it is the heart.'” – [Agreed upon] The heart has been entrusted with creed and Iman, and its sure trustworthy with worldly matters, which, are surely less complicated and less crucial to an individual’s fate in his lifetime and the afterlife. Keep good hearts- they’re your trusted pendulum !!!
