In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,
Dear readers everywhere,
It has been a long while since I last wrote to you — two years, or perhaps even more.
The reasons are many, but simply put, one should never embark on any task, big or small, without striving for excellence and ensuring the right means are in place.
It is a matter of perfecting what you do — or not doing it at all.
The concept of perfection, excellence, and Ihsan is a cornerstone of our Islamic education and culture, as Allah and the Prophet (PBUH) taught us throughout the Qur’an and Sunnah.
For example, Allah says in Surah An-Naml, verse 88:
“This is the handiwork of God, who has perfected all things.”
The past two years required me to immerse myself fully in my duty as a wife and mother — a period that demanded absolute presence, sincerity, and perfection with no room for compromise.
Likewise, my dedication to you, dear readers, and my responsibility to offer only what I believe is my very best, is not something I take lightly.
And so, I had to take a pause.
Yet this break was fruitful — for me, and for The Muslim Tribune.
I will end today’s post with a golden piece of advice:
Keep the remembrance of Allah — openly and quietly, constantly and sincerely — whether or not you find the chance to read His words or listen to those who remind you of Him.
As the Prophet (PBUH) said:
“The best of remembrance is La ilaha illallah, and the best of supplication is Alhamdulillah.”
— Sunan Ibn Majah 3800 (Hasan)
So dear readers, be mindful of Allah.
Here I end my letter to you — the first of many to come, God willing.
