Today’s recipe has to do with pausing every now and then to evaluate your pursuit for success and performance, lest you be heading in the wrong direction. Why evaluate your performance each once in a while? Almost all our previous Recipes for Success, we shed light on matters and attitude pertaining to how one goes about his prime goals in life to achieve the pursued and aimed success. Today’s recipe is a bit unique, it rather has to do with your own view of your performance and how to measure, actually why measure it. Today’s recipe has to do with pausing every now and then to evaluate your pursuit for success and performance, lest you be heading in the wrong direction. Why evaluate your performance each once in a while? The Quran and Sunnah encourage evaluating situations and reflecting on their morale and lessons learned. “Enactments (Reward for good or punishment for evil) have already passed away before you; so travel in the earth, then look into how was the end of the beliers.” – Quran 3:137 This kind of address, encouraging reflection and evaluating situations and past events recurr several times throughout the Quran. And inspired by the Holy book and the Sunnah we should do the same. Reflect on your life development and keep on evaluating your performance and whether time is bringing you closer to your intended goals or pushing you far.
