The Muslim Tribune is a quiet space for reflection, truth and spiritual connection

A Reverberating Sound Of Joy

Upon a tedious night

The lamp shone its steady light

And the blank mind stood at its silent shore

Devoid of sparkling lore

If only the light so bright would alight my insipid sight

Alas, distraction devours heart

But patient is soul

Hear I can too

The snares of desires ever more

But a low mumble is freedom docked at a distance beyond hold

A mirror of faith need

To imitate and learn

A handful of solemn prayers

To heal and make sojourn

If all did please my Lord up above

Then serene shall be my sleep

No more an echo of freedom

But a reverberating sound of joy
