Patience is an attitude in life which, if efficiently enacted and incorporated into your day to day behavior, can save you a lot of headache and much unwanted worries. Like prayer, patience is a supportive factor in your pursuit for success.

In previous Recipes for Success, we tackled hasting and how it can be a detrimental factor to your pursuit of success.

And I recall we highlighted the Hadith “Haste come from Satan”.

In this recipe, we shall bring to light a virtue that’s tightly related to that- Patience!!

Patience is a virtue that has been repetitively highlighted and emphasized in the Holy Quran and the blissful Sunnah of the Prophet.

It is an attitude in life which, if efficiently enacted and incorporated into your day to day behavior, can save you a lot of headache and much unwanted worries. Besides it is one crucial element of success, that helps you give each matter its due attention, effort and time.

Like prayer, patience is a supportive factor in your pursuit for success.

Allah says in the Quran;
“And seek help through patience and prayer, and indeed, it is difficult except for the humbly submissive [to Allah ]”- Quran 2:45

Allah, the Almighty, also says in the Quran:
“O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient.” – Quran 2:153

Also the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him, is narrated to have said:
"Purity is half of faith. alhamdu-lillah [Praise be to Allah] fills the scales, and subhana-Allah [How far is Allah from every imperfection] and alhamdu-lillah [Praise be to Allah] fill that which is between heaven and earth. Prayer is light; charity is a proof; patience is illumination; and the Quran is an argument for or against you. Everyone starts his day and is a vendor of his soul, either freeing it or bringing about its ruin."
- [Noble Hadth narrated by Abu Malik Al-Harith bin Asim Al-Ashari, related by Imam Muslim, and found in Imam Nawawi's 40 Hadith- Chapter No:1].

So be Patient, and apply patience in all life matters, and watch your life growing more prosperous and fulfilling, inshaAllah.
